Duquesne University's Department of Engineering provides students with a rigorous education in mathematics, science, engineering, and the liberal arts in line with the Spiritan ideals of service to others. The Biomedical Engineering program focuses on enhancing human health through various areas of specialization, including biomedical optics, biomaterials, orthopedic biomechanics, biophysical interactions, drug delivery, and biosensor development.
