VCU: MODIFIED POWERMATIC BANDSAW

Our Innovative and Life-Changing Solutions

This Challenger is a former Army EOD Tech who was injured by an IED, sustaining a left above the elbow amputation, a right below the elbow amputation and a left hip disarticulation amputation.  He has since had osseointegration surgery on his left arm.  His passion is woodworking; among his tools is a Powermatic 14" bandsaw. The tool currently requires him to stand on one leg to use because its mechanisms work when the table is a mid-chest level.  The Challenge is to lower the worktop of the saw to tabletop height so he can work from his wheelchair or chair.
