VCU: DRONE CONTROLLER

Our Innovative and Life-Changing Solutions

Our Challenger is a former F-18 pilot and Navy Academy graduate.  Due to an injury, he sustained a complete spinal cord injury at the C2 level.  He had been working with another group to design a controller for his drone and remap the functions.  They were unable to complete it due to some restrictions with the software.

He would like a controller for his drone potentially with open source or a different design drone with software so he may have capabilities to control it with his current level of function.  He has good head and mouth movement and has used a joystick type control with head movement.  He would like the drone to fly, photograph, have sights and provide video feedback through the digital set up on his wheelchair with good quality and additional functions for the drone.
