Question & Answer

Why did you choose your major? Growing up,  I was obsessed with How It's Made. It is a show on the Science Channel that shows the manufacturing process for everyday items.  I was so intrigued to see the whole process, from design to manufacture.  This show, plus my curiosity for innovative technology was enough to spark my interest to investigate the field I now love.

Describe your experience working with QL+ So far, I've had a great experience working with QL+.  We are given the opportunity to make someone's life easier, which can put a lot of pressure on our shoulders.  This can be a challenge itself because you want to do a good job for them.  The most rewarding part is getting to help a disabled Veteran.  There is nothing I can do to fully repay them for their service, but it is great to be able to give back as much as possible.

What would you say to other students about QL+? If you ever get the chance to work with QL+, DO IT!  They are a great organization that helps extraordinary people. They help improve the quality of life of disabled Veterans.  What is better than that?

What are your plans after graduation? After I graduate, I hope to earn a position in the oil and gas industry.  I have completed two internships, and they were both on the gas side.  I love the people I worked with as well as the work itself, so I see it being the best option for my immediate future.

What has been the proudest moment of your college career? My proudest moment was when my team earned an "A" on the final project in Machine Design.  For the project, we were to design a shaft for a Sterling Engine.  This was one of the hardest classes in the curriculum, so it was quite an achievement.

What three words best describe you? Personable, outgoing, responsible.
