To achieve our goal, the QL+ organization is guided by its Board of Directors and staff, all of who share our commitment and dedication to supporting wounded warriors.
The QL+ Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the QL+ Program. It defines organizational goals and provides innovative strategies to help us achieve these goals.
John Gerber has served as the Executive Vice President of West Group Management, LLC, since 2001.
During this time, he has headed operations, development, planning and zoning for numerous large-scale projects, locally, nationally and internationally, including working as a senior development advisor on the $7 billion commercial redevelopment of the World Trade Center site in New York. He has previously been involved in development projects, ranging from the Ben Gurion 2000 international airport terminal complex in Israel, to a new Disney town in Osceola, Florida.
As well as serving on the QL+ Board, Mr. Gerber also serves, or has served, on the Board of Directors and Advisory Boards of numerous companies and organizations around the world.
Mr. Gerber graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. He also holds a Masters of Architecture from Harvard University.
Mr. Gerber’s extensive understanding of venture capitalism, investment and the business world as a whole is critical in the development of the QL+ plan for long-term sustainability.
Richard L. Holm
Richard Holm is a famed CIA operations officer who served with 13 CIA Directors and is a recipient of the Distinguished Intelligence Medal, the CIA’s highest honor.
During a posting in the Congo, Mr. Holm suffered near-fatal burns over 35 percent of his body in a plane crash. Local tribesmen treated his burns with a black paste made of snake oil and tree bark. He remained in their care for 10 days until he was rescued and returned to the United States for medical treatment.
Mr. Holm returned to service after two years of extensive medical care and served several more decades in the CIA, achieving legendary status. He authored a book — American Agent: My Life In The CIA — about his time in the U.S.A’s premiere intelligence agency.
Mr. Holm’s own experiences empower him to be a voice for other injured veterans on the QL+ Board of Directors.
Jon N. Monett
A resident of McLean, Virginia, Jon Monett is a retired public servant, successful businessman and graduate of the College of Engineering at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) in San Luis Obispo, California. He also holds a Masters Degree in International Transactions from George Mason University.
During a lengthy career as a Senior Executive in the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Mr. Monett served abroad for many years, amassing invaluable experience. He is also the Founder and former Chairman and CEO of Telemus Solutions, Inc., a global provider of security and intelligence solutions.
His depth of experience, leadership qualities and technology skills are all significant assets to the QL+ Program. As Chairman, Mr. Monett is responsible for overseeing strategic planning and developing opportunities for advancing the charitable purposes of the QL+ organization.
Col. David W. Hunt
Colonel David Hunt, USA (Ret.) has more than 29 years of military experience, including extensive experience in special operations, counter-terrorism and intelligence.
He served as a tactical adviser in Bosnia, where he facilitated all national intelligence matters for the Theater Commander. Colonel Hunt was also the Counter-terrorism Coordinator for the 1988 Summer Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea, and has served as a security advisor to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as well as state and local police agencies.
He is perhaps best known as the author of two books—They Just Don’t Get It: How Washington Is Still Compromising Your Safety—And What You Can Do About It, and On The Hunt: How To Wake Up Washington And Win The War On Terror—and as a regular commentator on various TV news programs.
A graduate of the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government, Colonel Hunt also holds a Masters Degree in English from Norwich University.
His communication skills, contacts and military background make him an invaluable member of the QL+ Board of Directors, where he provides insight and guidance that helps ensure the organization’s success.
