QL+ LABORATORY

The QL+ Laboratory at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) in San Luis Obispo, California, was founded in 2009 and is wholly funded by the QL+ Program.

Located within the renowned College of Engineering, the QL+ Lab is the pilot research and development facility for all QL+-sponsored innovations. Here, students and faculty apply their creative and engineering skills to real-life problems, developing assistive technologies to address the physical challenges faced daily by our nation’s heroes. The experience is beneficial for everyone involved:

  • Solving these challenges provides a key educational experience, allowing students from multiple engineering disciplines to work together on meaningful projects.
  • QL+ sponsorship offers exciting research opportunities for Cal Poly faculty members
  • Most importantly, injured patriots regain the ability to live, to work and to play.

QL+ Projects produce innovative solutions to everyday problems. The technology developed serves a broad disabled population, a smaller subset, or even the specialized needs of a single individual.
