Our Work

Quality of Life Plus (QL+ ) is a charitable 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2009. Its mission is to foster innovations at the QL+ Laboratory at the California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) College of Engineering in San Luis Obispo, California.

These innovations will improve the quality of life for those injured while serving our country, including active-duty and veteran members of our military services and other public servants.

QL+ has two distinct focuses:

• Identifying the physical challenges of injured patriots
• Channeling the creativity of engineering students and faculty at the QL+ Lab at Cal Poly to solve these challenges as part of their educational curriculum
