Jon Monett, Founder and Chairman of the Board
A resident of McLean, Virginia, Jon Monett is a retired public servant, successful businessman and graduate of the College of Engineering at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) in San Luis Obispo, California. He also holds a Masters Degree in International Transactions from George Mason University. During a lengthy career as a senior executive in the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Mr. Monett served abroad for many years, amassing invaluable experience. He is also the founder and former Chairman and CEO of Telemus Solutions, Inc., a global provider of security and intelligence solutions. His depth of experience, leadership and technology skills are significant assets to QL+. As Chairman, Mr. Monett is involved in strategic planning and developing opportunities for advancing the charitable purposes of the Quality of Life Plus (QL+) organization.
Richard L. Holm, Board Member
Richard Holm is a famed CIA operations officer who served with 13 CIA Directors and is a recipient of the Distinguished Intelligence Medal, the CIA's highest honor. During a posting in the Congo, Mr. Holm suffered near-fatal burns over 35 percent of his body in a plane crash. Local tribesmen treated his burns with a black paste made of snake oil and tree bark. He remained in their care for 10 days until he was rescued and returned to the United States for medical treatment. Mr. Holm returned to service after two years of extensive medical care and served several more decades in the CIA, achieving legendary status. He authored a book—American Agent: My Life In The CIA—about his time in the U.S.'s premiere intelligence agency. Mr. Holm's own experiences empower him to be a voice for other injured veterans. As a member of the QL+ Board, he assists with policy decisions and helps advance the QL+ mission of engineering an improved quality of life for those who have served our country.
Col. David Hunt, USA (Ret.), Board Member
Colonel David Hunt has more than 29 years of military experience, including extensive experience in special operations, counterterrorism and intelligence. He served as a tactical adviser in Bosnia, where he facilitated all national intelligence matters for the Theater Commander. Colonel Hunt was also the Counterterrorism Coordinator for the 1988 Summer Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea, and has served as a security adviser to the Federal Bureau of Investigation as well as state and local police agencies. He is perhaps best known as the author of two books—They Just Don't Get It: How Washington Is Still Compromising Your Safety—And What You Can Do About It, and On The Hunt: How To Wake Up Washington And Win The War On Terror—and as a regular commentator on various TV news programs. A graduate of the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government, Colonel Hunt also holds a Masters Degree in English from Norwich University. His communication skills, contacts and military background make him a valuable member of the QL+ Board of Directors, where he provides insight and guidance that helps ensure the organization's success.

Scott Monett, Executive Director and President
Scott Monett is the founder and former President of Monettech, L.C., a successful communications services company, located in McLean, Virginia. Mr. Monett also has significant experience working with numerous non-stock companies and charitable entities, both local and national. Coupled with his business acumen, Mr. Monett’s proven and ongoing commitment to organizations that benefit others is invaluable to QL+ when setting policy, and planning and implementing the strategic goals of the QL+ organization. As the program’s Executive Director Mr. Monett is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations of QL+.
Scott Dondershine, Secretary & General Counsel
Scott Dondershine is licensed to practice law in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Mr. Dondershine began his career at a Big Eight CPA firm. His client base includes startup and emerging technology companies, government contractors, nonprofit companies and individuals. Mr. Dondershine has also served as an Officer and Director of the Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce, and Tysons Tunnel, Inc. He obtained a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Management Information Systems from American University, and a Juris Doctor Degree from George Mason University’s School of Law. Mr. Dondershine’s wealth of knowledge and experience in business and legal issues ensure that QL+ fulfills all its legal requirements.
Demetra K. Matthews, Treasurer
As a CPA certified to practice in Virginia, Demetra Matthews provides a full range of accounting, tax and business consulting services to individuals and companies. Prior to establishing her consultancy, Ms. Matthews accumulated nine years of auditing experience at an international accounting firm, plus nine years of tax experience at Washington-based accounting firms. She also spent seven years as a consultant to clients of an international accounting firm. Ms. Matthews has significant experience working with non-stock companies and charitable entities. She has served as an Officer of the McLean Community Foundation, as an Officer and Director of the Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce, and as an Officer and Director of the Northern Chapter of the Virginia Society of CPAs. Ms. Matthews holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Rider University in New Jersey.
